Learning from data and data visualisation are important topics in the era of big data and artificial intelligence. Novel data science methods, classification models, statistical models and visualization tools are needed for prediction and inference based on complex data.
Related to the 9th conference of Data Science, Statistics, and Visualisation (DSSV 2025) organised by the International Association for Statistical Computing in the Kruger Park, South Africa, the Journal of Data Science, Statistics and Visualisation launches a special issue. Papers should be aimed at a broad scientific audience. We welcome novel contributions from all aspects of research, including theoretical and practical modeling, learning, and/or visualization of data, providing insights into the development and application of the field. Papers that provide a comprehensive review and comparison of existing approaches and have the potential to provide new insights are also welcome.
Submissions to this special issue should be done at jdssv.org following the standard requirements of the journal and by selecting “Special Issue on DSSV 2025.” Submissions will follow the new JDSSV peer review process which guarantees publication of accepted papers by the start of the conference. The deadline for submission is March 30, 2025. Papers will enter the review process immediately upon receipt (i.e., editors will not wait until the end of the submission window to start the review process). All accepted papers will be published as a single special issue which will be available by the start of the conference.
